I would like to be a faculty member at a private liberal arts college or small university in a position that has a balance of mentoring, teaching, and research. My main interests are issues related to the learning sciences including effective assessment, instruction, and the design of learning environments. I am particularly interested in college students' ability to reason and argue scientifically and their ability to understand the relationship between theory and evidence.
